Very interesting short using reverse motion photography.

  • Farming Lobster at Home

While the malaise of the economic turmoil has many ready to jump out of their windows, I found solace farming lobsters in my new holding tank (well, actually my converted hot tub). Although, I have one problem…the cost of ice per pound is greater than lobsters…and I want to keep the little guys comfortable at least until they hit the steam bath. Seriously though, eat more lobster. They are cheap right now.

  • Crossed Out Name

Just wait until you here this song. Ryan Adams (The Cardinals) meets Rufus Wainwright. Outstanding -

    Orange sky don’t go
    Manhattan looks like someplace else
Cloudy with a low fog shell

Into the crowded streets I go
Eventually they lead me back home
    Where we used to live
I live alone and into bed I go

I wish that I could tell you just how I felt
I don’t pray I shower and say goodnight to myself
And when I close my eyes, I feel like a page
    With a crossed out name
    With a crossed out name

I kiss her mouth and I know
For everything there is a word
    For everything but this
I like the dresses the shoes and the clothes
And everything you know that goes
With loving a girl I suppose

I wish I could tell you just how I’m hurt
Pinpoint the location; it’s in another universe
And when I close my eyes
I see a fire so plain
    And my crossed out name
    Crossed out names
I see a crossed out name
I see a crossed out name

  • Some tech difficulties on the first song, but hang with this show. Andrew Bird gets it, and this is amazing.

  • I’ve had the pleasure to see Bird play live on more than one occasion. He is a looping genius with violin, whistling & guitar.

  • The War On Drugs (the band)

This band from Philly could have released one of the finest records in 2008. Enjoy the concert.

  • Global Crash

I love charts. But boy do I not like this chart. This isn’t going to be pretty. What are you suppose to stockpile before a global depression? Whatever it is, I bet Bernanke has a whole bunch of it in his bomb shelter.
